Liposuction of donor areas

Subcutaneous grafting

Recognised Risks of a Brazilian Butt Lift
Fat embolism: the most serious recognised risk of buttock fat grafting, where fat enters the large veins beneath the gluteal muscle. This is why fat is placed only in the subcutaneous layer, above the muscle, under direct cannula control, and never injected into or beneath the muscle.
Procedure-specific risks: seroma (fluid collection), contour irregularity or dimpling at donor or grafted sites, asymmetry, partial resorption of the grafted fat, fat necrosis and oil cysts, prolonged swelling and changes in skin sensation.
General surgical risks: bleeding, infection, wound healing problems, blood clots in the legs or lungs, and the possible need for revision.
