Chemical Peels
Chemical Peel Treatments
Chemical Peels, chemexfoliation, or derma peeling, are one of the most popular, non-invasive cosmetic procedures in Johannesburg performed to rejuvenate the appearance of skin. At varying depths, dependent on the type of peel and its concentration, this chemical exfoliation removes damaged and blemished skin cells to reveal a smooth and more even-toned, youthful complexion.
Is a Chemical Peel Treatment For Me?
Often performed on the face, neck and hands, various types of chemical peels can reduce the appearance of :
- Wrinkles
- Fine Lines
- Age Spots

- Sun damage
How is a Chemical Peel Performed?
During this treatment, a chemical solution is applied to your skin, causing the skin layers that have experienced trauma or injury to eventually peel off, revealing a more youthful skin. The new skin is usually smoother with fewer lines and wrinkles. 4 to 6 chemical peels are recommended.

In more extreme cases, you may experience redness swelling, stinging and flaking of your skin for up to 7 days. An ointment or moisturiser may be prescribed to you by the doctor to use during the healing process. No sun exposure whatsoever.
