Dermal Fillers
Dermal Filler Treatments
There are two types of fillers, Volumizing Fillers and Collagen Stimulating Fillers.
Are Fillers For Me?
Volumizing Fillers are used to restore volume to the cheeks, temples and jawline. Corrections can be done slowly and gradually to create subtle improvements. Often performed on the lips, tear troughs, cheeks and nasolabial folds, marionette lines, dermal fillers improve the texture and appearance of these areas and “fills” and give volume.
Collagen-stimulating fillers, also known as bio stimulators, don’t just add volume, but they also help create new collagen in these areas. These products contain ingredients that stimulate the body’s natural collagen production process to restore firm and youthful skin. The results are gradual but long-lasting.
How is a Filler Procedure Performed?
Topical numbing cream is applied 30 minutes prior to Dr Weyers treatment. The type of filler used depends on the extent of lost volume and the patient. The duration of these procedures depends on the areas that need to be addressed. The volumizing effect of fillers is immediate and results last 9 to 12 months after treatment, depending on which filler was used.
Healing and Recovery
Fillers are safe to use with short-lasting, minimal side effects like mild bruising, swelling and redness, post-treatment.
