Facelift Surgery

The aim of this procedure is to make you look ‘good for your age’ by repositioning the facial skin through varying techniques. The success of the procedure is dependent on your own facial structure, and condition of the skin. Sagging in the mid face, deep creases below the eyes and from the nose to corners of the mouth, or ‘Jowls’, and displaced fat are all treatable with this surgery. This surgical treatment involves strategically pulling back the muscles and connective tissue in the neck and face to create a lifted and more youthful appearance.

How is a Facelift Performed?

The facelift procedure makes use of varying techniques depending on the desired outcome, but usually, the incision is made in the natural contour just in front of the ear, and then extends around the earlobe and back into the hairline. Make-upend hairstyle are commonly used to conceal these scars. While extremely visible during recovery, this will fade to hardly noticeable scarring as the face heals so well. These incisions allow for the skin to be lifted from the face, and is then pulled and anchored into position.
